1940's "Puffy Hearts"

Puffy Hearts were all the rage in the late 1930s until the 1950's.

Puffy hearts have hollow cores and are made either from two halves put together, or one piece of metal folded over. The designs are either répoussé (a.k.a. repoussage), a technique where the design has been hammered into the metal on the reverse and shows up in relief on the front or chasing, where the design is impressed into the front of the heart.

Each Heart is a one of a kind piece and will not be replaced. Some have been hand engraved.
